The acquisition and application of career preparation skills will enable
you to successfully continue technical training at an advanced level,
pursue higher education opportunities, enhance your existing skills and
knowledge, or seek employment directly upon completion of the program.
High school students earn credits toward graduation and may also qualify
for a Certificate of Mastery after completion of course hours and competencies.
Other benefits to ROP students include, but are not limited to:
- Provides students the opportunity to obtain entry-level skills and occupational
training, giving them a base for advanced training in the same field and enabling
them to become economically productive;
- Provides each individual student occupational and career guidance directly
related to their training program;
- Provides students with workplace experience to enhance their educational
options and employment opportunities;
- Provides students with interpersonal, communication, and job retention skills,
along with resume writing and interviewing techniques to enhance their job
specific skills;
- Provides for the upgrading of career skills and knowledge for those reentering
the workforce.
