Animation / Filmmaking |
| Students will learn skills required for entry-level work in animation, including storyboarding, characterization, two-dimensional animation using drawing boards and computers with Disney Animation Studio software. Students will produce short animation segments and will develop professional portfolios with sketches, storyboard examples, and video tapes of their work. |

Music 1/Applied Technology |
| Students are introduced to occupations in the music
recording and technology fields. Emphasis will be placed in
acquiring basic music theory skills along with basic recording, mixing
and editing techniques by learning digital music software. The

| Internet Service Occupations/Webmaster |
| Learn how the web hosting/browsing
infrastructure works. Included are beginning concepts of
HTML coding with Text Wrangler and design with iWeb and
GoLive. Participate in critical comparison of websites,
discuss blogs, podcasts, legal issues and multimedia files.
Students will develop and maintain school web sites, blogs and
create a podcast. |

Art |
| Typesetting, design, digital imaging and
desktop publishing are taught using the Adobe Creative Suite 2
(Photoshop, Illustrator & In Design). Projects
include: setting newsletters, plays, menus, scanning and
enhancement & repair of digital photos with output to a high
quality design jet printer. Explore software such as:
iLife suite, iWork suite, Maya PLE, Painter and others while
learning beginning multimedia concepts. |
